I am available for sessions in Mt.Tremper, NY on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of each week with some weekend days as well, and I am in Rhinebeck, NY every other Sunday. I am also available for "home visit" sessions in the greater Woodstock, NY area. In an abundance of caution, I will not be offering sessions for the next few months. I will resume when things are safe again. Stay well.
Overview
Within the human system, all tissues, fluids and energy are continuously expanding and contracting with the "breath of life." With gentle touch, a skilled practitioner can interact with these subtle rhythms to address aches and pains, acute or chronic disease, emotional or psychological disturbances, or simply to promote wellness and vitality.
Common Uses of the work:
Clearing stress, revitalizing health, neck and upper back tension, resolution of trauma or PTSD, TMJ syndrome, chronic pain or headaches, anxiety, hypertension, depression, cardiovascular wellness, support during chronic illness, difficulty sleeping, post-concussion symptoms, support after surgery, chemotherapy or other medical treatments.
Background:
I have been practicing somatic therapies for more than 38 years. My education includes Washington University (BFA), the University of California at Berkeley (MFA), the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, Stillpoint CST, Polarity Wellness Institute, The Upledger Institute and many individual teachers, including Franklyn Sills, Michael Shea, John Upledger, Kiiko Matsumoto and Joseph Campbell. However, my most profound education has been the experience of working with individual clients.
I hold a NY State License in Acupuncture (L.Ac.) and a certification in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, and I am on the faculty of the Soma-Psyche Institute in NYC where I teach Craniosacral Therapy seminars. I also offer mentoring and supervision for practitioners.
You are welcome to contact me if you have questions.
Upcoming Seminars
Working from Stillness
Biodynamic Craniosacral Resource Day #3
May 2 10am - 6pm
Soma-Psyche Institute NYC NY
This seminar is designed to offer further training to practitioners in the Soma-Psyche Craniosacral certification program, however it is also open to other students and practitioners who are fluent with the basic principles of Biodynamic Craniosacral work.
As we continue to study and practice Cranial work, four different levels begin to clarify in our perception--CRI, Mid-Tide, Long Tide and Stillness. The focus of this training day will be “working from stillness.” I think you will find that taking on this challenge will enhance your ability to perceive the other three levels.
The morning will be lecture/conversation, perceptual exercises, review of anything that needs attention and discussion of a couple of case studies. The afternoon will be guided practice sessions and more discussion/review to end the day.
For more information about the seminar, contact Reese at: reese96@gmail.com
